if i hear blurred lines on the radio i literally switch the station so fast you wont even get three notes into the song
my problem with writing stories is that i’d rather imagine it and play it out in my mind than actually put it into words
petition for Avengers 2 to end on a freeze-frame like this
whaaaaat, I do! I’m checking this out right now, i will ask for that day off and sit my ass in that theater all day if I have to. How exciting!
Hope they do have it for you. The tickets just went on sale today/yesterday so it might take them a coupleof days to actually advertise it
express your feelings the tony stark way; with math, pick-up lines, or both combined.
I’ve been in a bad mood since like 2007
wait, double feature? what the fuck, i don’t get that, what the fuck. why.
Do you have AMC theaters in your area? That’s the theater in my area with the double feature. They always do a double feature/marathon for Marvel movies. They did Thor, Avengers, and Thor2 for a marathon when Thor 2 came out. Not sure why the Captain America marathon doesn’t have Avengers but its probably because the shorter the marathon the more likely people will come?
Do we have an actual diagnosis of Wanda’s mental illness? Or is she just generically mentally ill?
I don’t think they’ve ever really said. Other than she just had a nervous breakdown from losing her kids and Vision. The rest were all manipulations and possessions. Comics are so bad at handling it that it may never be really addressed properly.
Well, in Disassembled/HoM, it’s obviously bad pop culture Schizophrenia. She’s hearing voices and whatnot, but because she’s a reality warper, her hallucinations become corporeal. As for Darker than Scarlet, that’s more just generically out of control.
Could be Schizoaffective if you consider them together (psychosis + bipolar) or just Undifferentiated Schizophrenia (the psychosis + the occasional comatose states). A lot of people who have Schizophrenia will have at least one manic episode. She seemed depressed in Avengers volume 3, but again, could just be negative symptoms of Schizophrenia.
If you look at Magneto, Pietro, and Lorna, it’s clear that whatever her condition is, it has some genetic root, because they are all to some degree or another emotionally unstable.
It’s really frustrating how poorly comics present mental illness. Marvel has been making the effort to include minorities, but so far that has been restricted to race and (allosexual) sexuality. We, the readers, should contact the Marvel writers and editors and demand they better handle such subjects in their books.
